Time-saving drop-in anchor for quick installation with internal thread. Approved for concrete and fire protection.

Advantages

Tested safety: ETA approval option 1 cracked concrete for redundant non-structural systems, ETA approval aption 7 uncracked concrete, as well as fire resistance and sprinkler systems.
Easy impact installation: The rim secures the drop-in anchor against slipping into the drill hole and allows for flush mounting
No torque required: No torque is required for the metric screws due to the impact installation
High loads: The drop-in anchor sleeve with internal expansion cone enables high load capacities in concrete
Robust anchoring: The drop-in anchor sleeve is pressed from one piece without cutting and is particularly resistant
Flexible mounting: The metric internal thread allows for flexible mounting and flush dismantling of threaded rods, hooks, or screws
Secure setting control: The embossing applied during spreading with the setting tool simplifies the control of the anchorage and provides high application safety

Materials

Stainless steel (R): For external atmospheric exposure and to permanently damp internal conditions, if no particular aggressive conditions exists

Zinc plated steel (gvz): For dry internal conditions

The Upat drop-in anchor IDA is the time-saving solution for fastening through screws with metric threads and threaded rods. This internal thread anchor is particularly suitable for fastening in concrete and natural stone with a dense structure. The drop-in anchor IDA is commonly used for overhead installation and in cases of low concrete thickness for the approved fastening of non-load-bearing systems such as pipe runs and ventilation ducts.

Functioning

Function: When driving in the setting tool, the expansion cone is pressed against the conically shaped anchor sleeve, expanding the drop-in anchor against the borehole wall. The expansion cone remains in position, so the anchor remains securely in place when a screw is inserted or removed

Installation: The Upat drop-in anchor IDA is installed in pre-insertion mounting. Create borehole, clean borehole. Drive in drop-in anchor. Drive in setting tool. Assemble component with screw - done

Tools: Drill, drilling machine, blow-out pump (UPM AB), hammer, setting tool (USA-SWZ)
