Functioning
Function: In the injection cartridges, resin and hardener are stored separately and only mixed into mortar when squeezed through the static mixer. The static mixer ensures bubble-free mixing of the two components and protects the injection mortar from curing inside the cartridge. The extruded injection mortar completely surrounds the anchor, bonds with the borehole wall, and seals the borehole. In perforated masonry and when using the perforated sleeve UPM-SH, the grid structure of the sieve sleeve ensures even distribution of the mortar in the borehole and prevents mortar loss in the cavity. Additionally, non-load-bearing layers can be bridged. For multiple uses of an injection mortar, the static mixer is not to be removed after the first use. The mortar cures inside the static mixer, which is only replaced for the next use
Installation: The Upat injection mortar UPM 44 is used with Upat anchor rods in pre-positioned or push through installation and with Upat internal thread anchors in pre-positioned installation. Set borehole, clean borehole. Use the perforated slee UPM-SH in perforated masonry. Fill borehole. Insert anchor rod. Screw on attachment - done. The anchor is pressed into the filled borehole by hand with gentle rotating movements. The temperature in the building material must not fall below the specified minimum value during the curing of the mortar. Minimum cartridge temperature +5°C. When setting the anchor rod in perforated masonry, it is recommended to use the Upat perforated sleeve UPM-SH
