Functioning
Function: The two-chamber injetction cartridge stores resin and hardener separately and only mixes them into a mortar when pressed out by the static mixer. The static mixer ensures a bubble-free mixing of the two components and protects the injection mortar from hardening within the cartridge. When tightening the nut, the cones of the UHB-I are pulled into the mortar shell and thus tensioned against the borehole wall. The extruded injection mortar completely encloses the anchor, adheres to the borehole wall, and seals the borehole. For multiple uses of an injection mortar, the static mixer is not removed after the first use. The mortar hardens inside the static mixer, which is only replaced at the next use.
Installation: The injection mortar UPM 66 is used with the Upat bonded anchor UHB-I in pre-insertion or through-insertion. Set the borehole, clean and fill it. Insert the anchor. Screw on the attachment - done. The anchor is pressed into the filled borehole by hand with gentle rotary movements. The temperature in the substrate must not fall below the specified minimum value during the hardening of the mortar. Minimum cartridge temperature +5°C.
